Worship lies at the heart of our life together at Lake Shore Baptist Church. We gather each Sunday as an inclusive community of Christians seeking to discover, articulate, and embody the meaning of the Gospel. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting for the first time, you are welcome at our table.

Sunday Worship

Join us each Sunday at 9:45am for a service of prayer, music, and proclamation. All are welcome.

Sunday School

Following worship at 10:45am, classes for all ages provide an opportunity for deeper study and fellowship.

Prayer & Contemplation

We offer prayer resources to support your spiritual journey, including guided prayers and seasonal reflections. Our outdoor Labyrinth is available as a sacred space for walking meditation — a place to slow down, listen, and encounter God in stillness. All are invited to use the Labyrinth at any time.

At Lake Shore Baptist Church, worship is the heartbeat of our community. We gather each Sunday as an inclusive body of Christians who are earnestly attempting to discover, articulate, and embody the meaning of the Gospel in our daily lives. Our services blend prayer, music, and thoughtful proclamation in a welcoming atmosphere where all are invited to participate fully. Whether you have been part of a faith community for years or are exploring spiritual questions for the first time, you will find a place here. We believe that authentic worship opens us to God's transforming love and sends us out to share that love with the wider world.

Our commitment to inclusive community shapes everything we do. We welcome people of all backgrounds, orientations, and stages of faith journey, believing that each person brings a unique and valuable perspective to our shared life. This hospitality is not merely a policy but a core conviction rooted in the Gospel we seek to embody. We strive to create spaces where honest questions are honored, diverse voices are heard, and everyone can find belonging. In a world often marked by division, we choose to be a community that models grace, respect, and mutual care across all the differences that enrich our common life together.

Beyond Sunday worship, we offer numerous opportunities for spiritual growth and connection. Sunday School classes for all ages follow our morning service, providing space for deeper study of Scripture and thoughtful conversation about faith. Throughout the week, we gather for prayer, contemplation, and fellowship, including Wednesday night suppers and seminars that nurture both body and spirit. Our music ministry enriches our worship with diverse musical expressions, and seasonal observances like Advent and Easter Week offer special rhythms of reflection and celebration. We also maintain a labyrinth for prayer and meditation, inviting all who seek quiet space for reflection.

Our mission extends beyond our own congregation into the wider community and world. We believe that embodying the Gospel means actively participating in God's work of justice, reconciliation, and compassion. Through our missions and ministries, we seek to serve our neighbors in Waco and beyond, responding to tangible needs while also addressing deeper systemic issues. We are a community that takes seriously the call to love our neighbors as ourselves, partnering with others who share our commitment to building a more just and merciful world. This outward orientation gives our worship and study a practical edge, connecting faith with faithful action in everyday life.

Advent Resources

During the Advent season, we provide special liturgical materials, devotional guides, and opportunities for communal preparation. These resources help our congregation mark the season of anticipation and hope together.
